FAQ

Q: What are your worship times?
A: For our worship times, click here

Q: What is your worship style like?
A: Some churches ask the question, “Is this Church as usual?” RLC is certainly not! People today might not recognize some of what we do. But Luther and the Reformers would recognize our worship forms. And generations of Christians going back to the martyrs of the Roman Empire would recognize
much of our worship too.

Lutherans believe that when we gather here, we are in the presence of the
Triune God. We believe that the Body and Blood of Christ are physically present when we celebrate communion. Our worship is not “relaxed” and “casual” for we are in the presence of the Holy and Mighty God.

“Therefore let us be grateful for
receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God
acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:28-29 ESV)

This is not to say our worship is should be somber! It should be joyful! While we are in the presence of the “consuming fire” of God, we are not consumed, for our God has saved us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ! We are His people, bought at a price, and have been invited into His Presence now and forever! Alleluia!

Q: Do you have stuff for our kids?
A: Absolutely! As Lutherans, we believe that Jesus died for all people
and that faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Children–even the smallest
of infants–are able to receive the gift of faith, for God is no
respecter of persons.

We love to have children of all ages in worship.  However, we
recognize sometimes parents need a break.  A nursery with attendant
is available from 7:45 am to the end of the 10:30 service.
Children over the age of 3 are encouraged to attend Sunday School at
9:15 am.

RLC also hosts a Wednesday After School program for children K-8, and
youth group meetings for children grades 9-12.  Contact the church
office for more information.

Q: Do you have stuff for adults?
A: RLC provides many opportunities for fellowship for adults, including Sunday morning Bible Study at 9:15
Three classes are lay-led, and the Pastor’s Class studies various topics throughout the year.
We also provide occasional get-togethers for parents, and host a Senior’s Group once a month on
Wednesdays. Contact us for more information.
